Submission Period

September 1, 2024 (Sun) ~ November 17, 2024 (Sun) 23:59

Expected Number of Selected Tracks

Approximately 4 to 8 tracks

  • The number may vary significantly depending on the number of submissions

Items to Submit

Please prepare the following data and submit it via the form. Each file should be under 100MB.

  1. Mastered sound file (wave format)

    • 44.1kHz / 16bit / -8Lufs (average)
  2. Non-mastered 2mix sound file (wave format)

    • 44.1kHz / 16bit / Peak around -3db
  3. Title (in Japanese and English, with phonetic reading), Composer Name (in Japanese or English), Genre, BPM, and Time Signature

    • Please provide these details in the form.

Please name your files in the following format.

  1. Mastered sound file

Submission Rules

All participants in this contest must agree to the terms of this call for submissions and participate in the Liminality 3rd Music Contest “ENERGETIC UP!” (hereafter referred to as “this contest”). In the event of any discrepancies between the Japanese and English guidelines, the Japanese guidelines shall take precedence.

The all following conditions must be met for songs submitted to this contest

  • The applicant must hold the rights to the song.
  • The song must not infringe on the rights of third parties.
  • The song must be unpublished.
  • The song’s length must be between 120 and 180 seconds (recommended length is 140 seconds).
  • The song must not violate public order, morals, or laws.

There are no restrictions based on age, nationality, or place of residence.

  • However, applicants under 20 years old must have parental consent to apply.

Each composer can submit up to 3 songs.

  • Submitting multiple songs will not afftected the judging process.

The collaborative works by multiple composers will be counted as the number of songs for the representative composer.

If available, you can submit a cover art for the songs (this is optional. Not affect the judging process)

Handling of Songs

If your song is selected in the contest, we will contact for submitting the following data. If you don’t submit them, we will cancel your entry from winners. Be careful, please.

  3. Stem data

  4. A text file which includes Title (in Japanese and English, with phonetic reading), Composer Name (in Japanese or English), Genre, BPM, and Time Signature

  5. (If there are lyrics) A text file which includes the lyrics

The final adjustments and mixing of selected songs may be carried out by ProjectZero (Management team of Liminality). Necessary changes in performance or vocals may occur. Please be aware that revisions to the structure or arrangement of the song may also take place.

If an agreement on the work cannot be reached between both parties, the selection may be canceled. Be careful, please.

Rights of selected song will remain with the individual applicants (with the following exceptions).

  • Selected songs will, in principle, be included permanently.
  • If the setting of Liminality was used in the creation of the song, the rights to that setting belong to Liminality.
  • If you wish for your selected song to be featured in other music games, please consult with us.
  • Please avoid using the selected songs in ways that could cause damage to Liminality.

ProjectZero (Management team of Liminality) will maintain confidentiality about rejected songs and will not impose any restrictions on their rights.

Disclaimer

Applicants participate in the contest at their own risk and responsibility.

This contest may be canceled without prior notice.

ProjectZero (Management team of Liminality) will not be responsible for any direct or indirect damages caused by participation in or inability to participate in this contest.

ProjectZero will not be responsible for any disputes between the submitter and any third parties arising from participation or inability to participate in this contest.

ProjectZero reserves the right to revise, add to, or change these guidelines without prior notice.
